Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who became famous in the 90s as Hugh Grant's lover, was a former English model. The time that Grant was at the centre of media attention in connection with his world-wide box office success with Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in an elongated black Versace dress that was secured by security pins in gold. She gained instant media fame. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional experience is her relationship with the cosmetics company Estee Lauder. Hurley was recruited by Estee Lauder to be their first model when she was 28. From 1995 onwards, she's been a model for products from the company, including Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the action-packed spy films International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), she performed the role of Vanessa Kensington. Perry made more of a splash within a couple of months, with the track I kissed a Girl an assertive ode to sexual arousal accompanied by a hard-edged electro-pop beat. The song quickly stirred debate as critics denigrated it for promoting same-sex relations and others charged that the explicit scenario that it depicted was a harbinger for the fantasies of males about female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl's combination of passion, a polished song and an enthralling chorus made it become a top-ten hit in a variety of countries. That helped her sell more albums including one of the Boys (2007). The sharp, bouncey second single was very popular. The album Perry created for herself ended up selling more than three million copies in the United States.
