Elizabeth Jane Hurley is an English model and actress who gained fame as the friend of Hugh Grant in the 1990s. In the 1990s, when Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral gained international recognition, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. This outfit gained immediate media attention. The relationship she has had together with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. Hurley was commissioned by Estee Lauder to be their first model at age 29. From 1995 onwards, she's been used as a face for the company's products like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the cult spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), she appeared as Vanessa Kensington. Nevertheless the combination of polished and titillating melody contributed to the fact that I Kissed a Girl become a number one hit in multiple countries powering the album sales of the Boys (2008). The album's second single Hot N Cold also proving to be a hit, the album which Perry composed herself, eventually saw greater than three million copies in the United States.
